Starting Friday, August 1st, all who come to donate will receive a voucher for a CraftTapped three-month membership
All blood donors who donate in the Twin Cities Metropolitan region will additionally receive a voucher for a free MN Nice Cream treat
MINNESOTA – Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) is kicking off its fourth annual “Pint for a Pint” campaign to encourage blood donations during the critical summer months. From Friday, August 1st to Sunday, August 31st, all who come to donate at a MBC donor center or blood drive will receive a *CraftTapped three-month membership voucher, which includes 10 Buy-One-Get-One offers each month at participating breweries, distilleries, restaurants, and bars.
Additionally, blood donors in the Twin Cities Metropolitan area will receive a voucher for a complimentary MN Nice Cream treat, which includes a medium waffle cone or bowl and up to three toppings.
“Craftapped is excited to support Memorial Blood Center’s 2025 Pint for Pint campaign,” said Amy Parks, Craftapped VP of Business Development. “We appreciate MBC’s work in our community and enthusiastically hope you can join the cause!”
Summer has brought an expected decline in donations, driven by vacations and school breaks, but combined with increased trauma cases, the impact on the local blood supply has been severe. Overall collections are down nearly 25%, putting patient care at risk.
“Every pint counts, especially in the summer, and we are so grateful to CraftTapped and MN Nice Cream for coming together to support the critical need,” said Kathy Geist, Vice President at Memorial Blood Centers. “We hope this fun incentive will inspire folks to donate blood and enjoy a refreshing beverage on us. Blood donations are needed now more than ever.”
Blood donors can give every 56 days, and platelet donors can give twice per month. In light of recent updates to FDA guidance, more people than ever may now be eligible to give. *Discounts, BOGOs, and free beverages offered as part of the “Pint for Pint” promotion and provided through the Craftapped membership are at the discretion of participating venues.
