Battle of the Badges

Battle of the Badges is an annual event among teams of first Battle of the Badges is a friendly, annual competition among first responders to help save lives through blood donation. This summer contest celebrates the dedication of local heroes while supporting the needs of nearby hospitals.

From June through August, participating teams host blood drives in their community, rallying coworkers, family, friends, and neighbors to donate.

Every donation helps your team climb the leaderboard and impacts local patients in need—turning community pride into lifesaving action.

Why it matters

Summer months often bring a critical drop in blood donations. But the need for blood never takes a vacation. The Battle of the Badges ensures there’s blood available when it’s needed most.

Healthy donors are encouraged to donate at a Battle of the Badges blood drive or at one of Memorial Blood Centers’ nine donor centers to help replenish dangerously low supplies.
