Employees at Memorial Blood Centers recently marked a meaningful milestone with the organization’s first-ever blood drive in partnership with Hennepin EMS. The collaboration brought together emergency responders and community partners who share a common mission of saving lives.

During the drive, EMS staff and members of the Minneapolis Fire Department donated 37 lifesaving units of blood. The effort reflects the deep connection between blood donors and the frontline professionals who rely on a safe, steady blood supply to care for patients across Minneapolis every day.

Hennepin EMS staff are trained to administer blood transfusions in the field, delivering lifesaving treatment when seconds matter most. Their participation in the drive was a way to give back and support the very source of the blood they use to help patients in critical situations.

Memorial Blood Centers thanks all employees and partners who helped make this event a success and who continue to support patients both on and off the clock.
