Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) partnered with Rock from the Heart this past weekend at its aortic and heart valve disease awareness event in Duluth. Rock from the Heart is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of aortic and heart valve disease through education, community outreach and support for patients and families.
MBC Account Manager Alicia spoke about the importance of maintaining a strong blood supply for cardiac patients. Throughout the event, the MBC team connected with patients, survivors, families and healthcare organizations, including hospital partners Essentia Health and North Memorial Health Air Ambulance.
The partnership will continue in February at Canterbury Park, where MBC plans to expand its involvement by hosting a blood drive.
