At just five months old, Reggie was diagnosed with a malignant rhabdoid tumor at Children’s Minnesota. Now a year old, he has endured multiple surgeries and treatments and received three dozen blood transfusions along the way.
For Reggie and his family, blood transfusions have been a critical part of his care.
“He’s just so much healthier and happier once he gets the blood,” his mother, Danielle, shared. “Knowing that there’s blood and access to it is very critical.”
Reggie is continuing his care at Essentia Health, where his care team is providing ongoing support for him and his family.
MBC is sharing Reggie’s story to help raise awareness about the lifesaving impact of blood donations. Employees can help by spreading the word about the upcoming London Road Area Business Blood Drive on Wednesday, August 19 from 10AM-5PM.
