Memorial Blood Centers’ DonateSpaces program is an opportunity for community members to offer space to use as a convenient location to host a community blood drive.
Before the pandemic arrived in the U.S., nearly half of the blood donated to Memorial Blood Centers was donated at community blood drives. The pandemic necessitated cancelling small community blood drives as well as all blood drives held on bloodmobiles.
Now, property owners, building managers, realtors, and others can donate space to help Memorial Blood Centers collect the life-saving blood our local hospitals need.
There are many ways community members can donate space to help Memorial Blood Centers:
To ensure safe social distancing between donors, Memorial Blood Centers requires a minimum of 1,600 square feet for community blood drive purposes. Ideal space would offer 1,600 – 4,000 square feet.
