Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) is now increasing the nation’s supply of convalescent plasma by collecting donations from those who have recovered from COVID-19. MBC will collect, process the plasma for infusion, and maintain a bank for hospitals to treat patients with serious or immediately life-threatening COVID-19 infections.
If you have patients who have recovered from COVID-19 and are interested in donating convalescent plasma, please direct them to mbc.org/cpdonor. Potential donors will be required to provide documentation from your institution of either a positive disease test or positive recovery test.

How to Order Convalescent Plasma
- An interested physician must first make contact with their Blood Bank Medical Director.
- In order to transfuse the convalescent plasma, a hospital must participate in one of the IND pathways outlined by the FDA in order to obtain the COVID-19 convalescent plasma from a blood center. We recommend the Expanded Access Protocol from Mayo as the easiest way to treat multiple patients.
- Exisiting MBC hospital customers can order product directly from MBC by going to BloodHub
