Life-Savers Go Back to School

September 06, 2017

(St. Paul, MN)—As students go back to school, they go back to saving lives. More than 15% of blood donated at Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) blood drives is given at high school blood drives. Back to school is a big deal.

High school students at MBCWhether at a high school, college, business, retirement home, place of worship, or neighborhood celebration, blood drives connect life-savers in our communities to patients at local hospitals. MBC makes it easy for individuals or organizations to host a blood drive—we provide a comprehensive toolkit, step-by-step support from start to finish, and dedicated staff who are committed to engaging people in the life-saving mission of giving blood. Find out how to host a blood drive at MBC.ORG/Host-a-Drive.

Blood drives take place nearly every day in our communities. To find a blood drive or donor center nearest you, visit us online, or see upcoming blood drives in your area listed below. To register, go to MBC.ORG, or contact the sponsoring organization directly. While walk-in donors are always welcome, we encourage appointments to be made in advance. It’s important for donors to keep their blood donation appointments, as these appointments help MBC plan a stable supply of blood for local hospitals.
