Severe weather in the Northland is impacting blood donations

July 21, 2016

(Duluth, MN) – Severe storms and related power outages in the Northland are impacting Memorial Blood Centers operations. We ask everyone to observe travel restrictions in your community.

The Burning Tree Plaza and our Duluth Donor Center was closed on Thursday, July 21. The Duluth Donor Center will be open on Friday, July 22 and a Memorial Blood Centers bloodmobile will be at the Sam’s Club in Hermantown at 4743 Maple Grove Road from 8:00 AM - 2:45 PM.

We encourage all eligible donors to step up and donate at our other facilities and community blood drives as we have an urgent need for blood. Your donations this week will help ensure that Memorial Blood Centers is able to supply Northland and Metro hospitals with blood for patients in need.

Schedule an appointment online or call 1-888-GIVE-BLD (888-448-3253).
