• How do I create a Username?

  A username should be both unique and easy to remember, and must be a minimum of 6 characters – a maximum of 15 (letters, numbers, special keyboard characters, etc.). If you choose, you may use your Donor ID # and/or email address as your username.

• How do I create a Password?

  A password should be both unique and easy to remember.  It must be a minimum of 6 characters - a maximum of 15 (letters, numbers, special keyboard characters, etc.). If you choose, you may use your Donor ID # and/or email address as your password (if not used as a username).

• Do I have to enter my Donor ID # when I set up my account for the first time?

  No. You may proceed in establishing your donor account without entering your Donor ID # but you may not have access to some of the special features now available on the site, including your donation history and reminders of upcoming dates when you will be eligible to donate. Once you enter your Donor ID #, it will be saved in the system and you will not be asked to enter it again.

• What other information will I need to provide?

  You’ll be asked to provide your first and last name, date of birth, zip code, and a unique email address. This enhancement also asks you to select and answer a security question. It will be helpful if you have your Donor ID # handy so that you can complete all requirements at one time.

• How much time will the account set up take?

  The process is quick and easy and should take no more than a few minutes. You’ll be required to re-enter and/or update your contact and registration information, enter an email address, select and answer a security question, and establish a new username and password.

• What if I have problems completing my registration?

  If you have difficulty completing your registration, can’t remember your Donor ID #, or forget your username or password the next time you visit us to schedule an appointment online, technical support help will be available from a member of our Contact Management Center (CMC) staff. Please call 1.888.GIVE.BLD (888-448-3253).

• What are the enhancements you’ve made?

  • You will now have the ability to view your donation history. Using your Donor ID #, the system will provide up-to-date information on your past donations and provide a listing of specific dates when you will be eligible to make a donation (for all donation types for which you are eligible, e.g., whole blood, platelets).
  • A security upgrade, requiring the use of a unique username and password to log in, adds even more protection to your donor account information.

  These enhancements are expected to help reduce many of the errors some donors have experienced using our previous online system, and make it much easier for you to schedule the right type of donation as soon as you are eligible.
  
  In addition, we will be introducing a new mobile scheduling app – called GIVEBLD—expected to launch for Android and Apple smartphones in March 2013. The username and password you create now also can be used to log into our mobile app, making it even easier for you to schedule appointments or check your eligibility to donate anytime, from anywhere.
  With so many of our donors having access to a wide array of smartphone applications, Memorial Blood Centers is excited to be taking this important next step to keep our donors connected—at home, at work, on-the-go.
